Encana shares rise after news of PetroChina deal
Dec 13 (Reuters) - Encana Corp's shares rose as much as 3.3 percent after it signed a C$2.2 billion deal with PetroChina for a nearly half stake in the Canadian company's emerging liquids-rich natural gas prospect in Alberta.
Encana's shares, which were down 1 percent before the announcement, were last trading up 36 Canadian cents at C$20.80. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
