TORONTO, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index closed
lower on Friday, as last-ditch talks meant to steer the U.S.
government away from the edge of the "fiscal cliff" failed to
perk up equity markets.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
unofficially closed down 57.65 points, or 0.47
percent, at 12,316.12.
