CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises as higher commodity prices support resource stocks
TORONTO, June 8 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Wednesday to a nearly 10-month high, led by gold mining and energy stocks as gold rallied and oil climbed further above $50 a barrel.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 67.87 points, or 0.47 percent, at 14,433.48, shortly after the open. Eight of the index's 10 main groups were higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
