TORONTO, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index was
little changed in early trade on Friday as gains in the price of
bullion fueled a rise in shares of gold producers, offsetting
weakness in the financial sector.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
was up 1.57 points, or 0.01 percent, at 12,706.09
shortly after the open.
