TORONTO, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose
on Tuesday to its highest in more than three months after
positive Chinese data drove gains in resource shares and news of
Verizon Communications Inc not entering the Canadian
market pushed up telecoms stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
was up 174.23 points, or 1.38 percent, at 12,828.13
shortly after the open.
