CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher after Summers leaves Fed race

TORONTO, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose
at the open on Monday as global shares rallied after former U.S.
Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers withdrew from consideration
to be Federal Reserve chairman.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 81.04 points, or 0.64 percent, at 12,804.44
shortly after the open.
