CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends higher as U.S. data lifts banks, industrials

TORONTO, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index edged
higher on Thursday after positive U.S. jobless claims data
helped boost its financial and industrial sectors, offsetting
weakness in natural resource shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
unofficially closed up 14.78 points, or 0.11 percent,
at 13,629.41.
