TORONTO May 11 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index turned lower on Wednesday as lower oil prices weighed on energy stocks, offsetting gains for the materials group.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 19.11 points, or 0.14 percent, at 13,756.08, shortly after the open. (Reporting by Fergal Smith Editing by W Simon)
