May 6 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on Monday:

FUTURES LITTLE CHANGED AFTER DOW, S&P CLOSE AT RECORD HIGHS

U.S. stock index futures were little changed on Monday as investors paused following steep gains in the previous session that took the Dow and S&P 500 to new closing highs. Futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.8 point and the Dow Jones down 1 point, while futures for the Nasdaq 100 were up 2 points.

** BMC SOFTWARE INC, Friday close $45.42, up 3.5 pct premarket

A private equity group made up of Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital Corp are nearing a deal to acquire BMC Software and an announcement could come as early as Monday, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters on Sunday.
