WALL ST OPENS FLAT AS MARKET PAUSES AFTER RALLY
U.S. stocks were little changed at the open as investors paused after stocks hit record highs last week, with the S&P 500 up more than 13 percent so far this year. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 12.51 points, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 0.01 point and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.47 points.
** BMC SOFTWARE INC, $45.28, up 0.28 pct (0957 ET)
The business software maker said it agreed to be acquired by a private equity group led by Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital Corp for about $6.9 billion.
