May 28 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Tuesday:
WALL ST RALLIES ON CENTRAL BANK COMMENTS, DATA
U.S. stocks rallied more than 1 percent after investors were reassured that central banks will continue policies designed to promote global growth.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 176.71 points, or 1.15 percent. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 18.40 points, or 1.12 percent, and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 44.30 points, or 1.28 percent.

AstraZeneca will buy Omthera for as much as $443 million to build up its cardiovascular drug business, a priority area for Britain's second-biggest drugmaker. AstraZeneca said on Tuesday it would buy Omthera for $12.70 per share. Continued...
