Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.60 percent at 15,459, S&P 500 futures were up 0.49 percent at 1,752.6 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.33 percent at 3,457.

** TWITTER INC, Wednesday close $65.97, -22.39 pct premarket

The company reported its slowest pace of user growth in its recent history, dimming hopes that the social media phenomenon can sustain its torrid pace of expansion. Twitter posted better-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue of $243 million in its first results as a public company. But investors focused on the anemic user growth, as well as a severe decline in timeline views, a measure of user engagement.

** AOL INC, Wednesday close $47.57, +4.69 pct premarket

The digital media and entertainment company reported a better-than-expected 13 percent rise in quarterly revenue, helped by higher ad sales.

** GREEN MOUNTAIN COFFEE ROASTERS INC, Wednesday close $80.88, +40.63 pct premarket

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, maker of the popular Keurig one-cup coffee brewer, said Coca-Cola had bought a 10 percent stake in the company for $1.25 billion and would help launch Green Mountain's new cold drink machine planned for release as soon as October.

Shares of SodaStream, Green Mountain's likely new rival, fell on the news.

** KKR & CO LP, Wednesday close $23.21, +4.35 pct premarket

The company's fourth-quarter profit soared 127 percent, beating most analysts' estimates, as the value of its private equity portfolio rose and it earned more fees from its credit investments.

** TEVA PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES, Wednesday close $45.39, -0.31 pct premarket

The world's largest generic drugmaker and Israel's biggest company reported higher quarterly earnings due to higher sales from U.S. generic drugs and global specialty medicines.

** 21ST CENTURY FOX, Wednesday close $31.72, +3.66 pct premarket

Rupert Murdoch's television and film company that split from News Corp last June reported higher quarterly revenue, driven by growth in its cable networks and its European satellite business.

** BCE INC, Wednesday close $40.94

Canada's biggest telecom company posted a 17 percent rise in adjusted quarterly profit on Thursday, helped by strong growth in its media wing and ongoing strength in wireless.

The Houston-based company, controlled by conglomerate Loews Corp, reported a better-than-expected profit as the rates it earned for its ultra-deepwater rigs shot up in the fourth quarter.

A U.S. judge on Wednesday declared a mistrial in a lawsuit brought by private patent owner Intellectual Ventures against Google's Motorola Mobility unit after jurors could not unanimously agree, according to an Intellectual Ventures statement.

The company expects its defense business to continue facing a tough environment with "flatish" profit margins, Chief Executive Jim McNerney said on Wednesday.

Separately, India's state-run airline, Air India Ltd, diverted a Boeing 787 plane to Kuala Lumpur after pilots noticed a software glitch during a flight from Melbourne to New Delhi on Wednesday, in the latest incident involving the jet.

The women's apparel retailer cut its fourth-quarter sales estimate on Thursday, citing weak traffic and consumer spending.

The solar company said it sold a 10-megawatt solar power plant in Ontario to a fund managed by BlackRock.

The construction of the solar plant is expected to start in the first quarter and commercial operations are expected to begin in the third quarter.

The oil and natural gas producer posted lower-than-expected quarterly profit on Thursday due to a spike in exploration, transportation and other costs.

Two high-risk bets by the Britain-based company on new ways to fight heart disease and cancer were dealt a double blow last year by dud clinical trials, but the company remains hopeful about both projects. ** PANDORA MEDIA INC, Wednesday close $35.83, -9.66 pct premarket

The company reported higher revenue and profit for the quarter ending in December but said that costs to expand its audience are rising. The online streaming music company said earnings per share for this year are expected to be between 13 cents and 17 cents, below analysts expectations of 19 cents per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

** GILEAD SCIENCES, Wednesday close $78.15, +1.05 pct premarket

The company plans to license its breakthrough hepatitis C drug Sovaldi to a number of Indian generic pharmaceutical manufacturers, allowing for lower-priced sales of the medication in that developing nation, according to the company.

The internet content delivery service provider forecast better-than-expected results for the current quarter after it renegotiated pricing terms with its biggest media client. The company did not name the client but analysts identified the customer as Apple Inc.
