BUZZ-Ebola bets: Record high for Alpha Pro Tech and Lakeland Industries

** Face mask maker Alpha pro hits five-year high, while Hazmat suits maker Lakeland hits a decade-high

** Alpha shares up 27 pct at $6.15 and Lakeland shares up 4 pct at $18.45

** Spread of the Ebola virus is expected to boost demand for products such as hazmat suits and face masks

** More than 8 million Alpha shares were traded as of 9.44 a.m ET, more than three times its 10-day average volume

** As of 9.50 a.m. ET 5 million Lakeland shares were traded, more than four times its 50 day average volume. The stock had its busiest day ever on Thursday with 48 million trades

** Up to Thursday's close, Alpha's stock had risen 49 pct since the first U.S. case of Ebola was reported on Sept. 30 while Lakeland shares had risen 154 pct
