** Canadian gold miner's Toronto-listed stock up 3.3 pct at C$5.07; U.S.-listed shares up 2.3 pct at $4.40
** Says will place some of its Brazilian assets that have been deemed as non-core into a subsidiary dubbed Brio Gold and that it will explore a potential sale along with other options for the unit in 2015
** The assets being parceled off into Brio Gold include Fazenda Brasileiro, C1 Santa Luz and Pilar, and its Agua Rica project
** We view moves by Yamana to enhance the market's focus on its core assets as positive for the stock over time ...," says Raymond James analyst Phil Russo
** Up to Tuesday's close, company's U.S.-listed stock had lost about half its value this year
