** Copper miners' shares down after copper prices touch a new five-and-half year low on Wednesday
** Prices dragged down by a cut in growth forecast by World Bank and plummeting oil prices
** Three-month copper on London Metal Exchange down 4.41 pct at $5,601.50 at 11:03 a.m. ET
** The World Bank lowered its global growth forecast for 2015 and 2016, citing disappointing economic prospects in the euro zone, Japan and some major emerging economies
** Shares of Freeport-McMoRan Inc down 11 pct to $18.74, Southern Copper Corp down 6 pct at $24.99
** U.S.-listed shares of HudBay Minerals Inc down 14 pct to $6.41, Teck Resources Ltd down 11 pct at $10.90
