July 6 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:

** Health insurer Aetna Inc said on Friday it would buy smaller rival Humana Inc for about $37 billion in cash and stock, in the largest ever deal in the insurance industry.

** Britain is planning to sell half its stake in Royal Bank of Scotland, worth 16 billion pounds ($25 billion) within two years of a possible first sale in September, according to people with knowledge of government thinking.

** State-controlled oil producer Petróleo Brasileiro SA could sell a stake in Brazil's Braskem SA and build provisions against tax debts nearing 40 billion reais ($12.7 billion) to reduce costs and make finances sustainable, Valor Econômico newspaper said.
