U.S. stock index e-mini futures fell on Friday as fears of a slowdown in global growth were exacerbated overnight.
Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 0.34 percent at 16,860, S&P 500 futures were down 0.19 percent at 2,021.75 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 0.39 percent at 4,349.25.
** SILICONWARE PRECISION INDUSTRIES CO LTD, Thursday close $5.18, +20.27 pct premarket
Taiwan's Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc (ASE) , the world's top chip packager and tester, said it would buy up to 25 percent of Siliconware for an amount likely exceeding T$30 billion ($919 million).
ASE said it would offer T$45 per common share of SPIL, the industry's third-biggest packager, and T$225 ($6.89) per American Depositary Share.
** INTUIT INC, Thursday close $102.93, -2.85 pct
The tax-preparation software maker reported a fourth-quarter adjusted loss as expenses rose 17 percent and the company also forecast an adjusted loss for the current quarter. Intuit also said it plans to divest Demandforce, QuickBase and Quicken.
** SALESFORCE.COM INC, Thursday close $67.82, +3.95 pct premarket
The cloud software company reported a better-than-expected quarterly results, helped by an increase in demand for its Web-based sales and marketing software, and raised its revenue forecast for the full year for the third time.
** HEWLETT-PACKARD CO, Thursday close $27.35, -0.37 pct premarket
The world's No. 2 PC maker reported a drop in revenue for the fourth straight quarter, hurt by weak PC sales and lower demand from corporates for its services.
** INTREXON CORP, Thursday close $42.5, -5.88 pct premarket
The company said it has commenced an underwritten offering of common stock and intends to grant the underwriters the option to buy up to an additional 15 percent of shares in the offering.

The world's biggest restaurant chain said it had signed its second deal with a Russian franchisee which would help it to expand in remote Siberian regions.

The network equipment maker reported better-than-expected third-quarter results, driven by an increase in router sales.

The grocery store operator reported lower-than-expected quarterly profit and revenue as consumers bought less organic and fresh produce from its stores. The company's comparable store sales fell more than expected.

The company's pilots tentatively agreed with the package delivery company on an amended collective bargaining agreement, the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) said. The terms are not being released pending approval by the union's executive council, ALPA said.
