Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.41 percent at 17,126, S&P 500 futures were up 0.41 percent at 2,016.75 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.55 percent at 4,423.5.

The world's largest credit card issuer reported a quarterly profit that missed analysts' estimates as costs rose and a strong dollar ate into revenue from its international business.

** KINDER MORGAN INC, Wednesday close $31.42, -6.59 pct premarket

The company on Wednesday increased its quarterly dividend but said the payout would grow a bit slower next year as the U.S. pipeline company seeks to maintain financial flexibility in a slumping commodities market.

** TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC, Wednesday close $51.9, +7.78 pct premarket

The company reported better-than-expected quarterly profit and revenue, helped by higher sales of its analog and embedded chips.

** EBAY INC, Wednesday close $24.21, +6.69 pct premarket

The company reported a stronger-than-expected quarterly profit and raised its full-year adjusted profit forecast, helping to allay concerns about the company's prospects following the spinoff of PayPal, its main engine of growth.

** DOW CHEMICAL CO, Wednesday close $47.48, +5.94 pct premarket

The company said it would "review all options" for its agrosciences business, after the unit reported its third straight quarter of sales decline on Thursday.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the drugmaker's oral drug, that carries a warning, to treat potentially fatal levels of potassium in patients with chronic kidney disease or heart problems.

The company said on Wednesday that consensus revenue estimates for its third-quarter were "inflated" as they differed from its own accounting, which includes results from DirecTV, acquired by the No. 2 U.S. wireless carrier in July.

An environmental protection bureau in northwest China said police temporarily detained an executive at a company bottling facility in Gansu province after they found the facility had falsified pollution data.

The company reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue, helped by increased royalties from franchisees and higher sales at company-operated restaurants.

The drugmaker reported a nearly 2 percent rise in revenue, helped by higher demand for its diabetes and cancer drugs.
