The Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.91 percent at 17,687.28, the S&P 500 was up 0.76 percent at 2,072.08 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.67 percent at 5,074.741.

The drug developer reported a bigger net loss for fiscal 2015, hurt by higher operating expenses used to fund Alzheimer's disease drug development.
** NEUROMETRIX INC, $2.73, +18.70 pct
The medical technology company said it launched a nerve conduction test, used to evaluate systemic neuropathies such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), in Mexico. DPN is long-term complication of diabetes.
