Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 1.59 percent at 15,613, S&P 500 futures were down 1.58 percent at 1,817.5 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 1.75 percent at 3,898.

** TWITTER INC, Wednesday close $14.98, -5.94 pct premarket

The company reported its first quarter with no growth in users since it went public, stoking fresh concerns on how long it will take for the company to reverse the trend.

** MYLAN NV, Wednesday close $50.54, -13.79 pct premarket

The generic drugmaker said it would acquire Meda AB in a $7.2 billion cash-and-stock deal in its third attempt to buy the Swedish company.

** EXPEDIA INC, Wednesday close $94.35, +9.27 pct premarket

The company on Wednesday forecast a rise in 2016 earnings in part from recent acquisitions, pushing shares up even though the company warned that the Nov. 13 Paris attacks hurt travel demand and its fourth-quarter profit fell below analysts’ estimates.

** ALPHABET INC, Wednesday close $706.85, -1.96 pct premarket

The company’s Google unit told U.S. auto safety regulators that the government’s interpretation of motor vehicle safety rules is “extremely important” to its further development of fully self-driving cars.

** CISCO SYSTEMS INC, Wednesday close $22.51, +5.15 pct premarket

The network equipment maker reported a bigger-than-expected quarterly profit, helped by higher demand for its routers and security products, and added $15 billion to its share buyback program.

** TRIPADVISOR INC, Wednesday close $54.35, +6.62 pct premarket

The travel review website operator reported a 7.3 percent rise in quarterly revenue as it earned more from display ads and subscriptions.

The magazine publisher reported a 2 percent fall in quarterly revenue, hurt by a stronger dollar and a fall in income from print advertisements.

The company said on Thursday it launched a venture capital unit that would invest in technology startups in the travel and hospitality industry.

The largest U.S. drugstore chain threatened to terminate its relationship with Theranos Inc unless the blood-testing company quickly fixes the problems found by federal inspectors at its laboratory in California, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Chief Executive Elon Musk on Wednesday promised investors that the electric luxury car maker will start making money this year, sending the company’s shares up despite a wider fourth-quarter loss.
