U.S. STOCK INDEX FUTURES SIGNAL LOWER OPEN

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a slightly lower open on Wall Street on Tuesday, with futures for the S&P 500 down 0.04 percent and Nasdaq 100 futures down 0.17 percent at 0955 GMT.

** DELL INC, $12.74 (premarket), up 3.6 pct

The company is in talks with private equity firms on a potential buyout, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. The Wall Street Journal cited unidentified sources as saying TPG and Silver Lake could team up on an offer, possibly in conjunction with other investors such as pension funds.

** RADIOSHACK CORP, $2.49 (premarket), up 7.8 pct

The company said it ended a mobile phone partnership with Target Corp as the retailers could not agree on a new deal that would be profitable for both companies.

** LENNAR CORP, $40.90 (premarket), down 0.3 pct

The homebuilder reported a higher quarterly profit and a seventh straight rise in new home orders, indicating that a U.S. housing recovery is well on track.

** LULULEMON ATHLETICA INC, $67.31 (after market), down 7 pct

The athletic clothing retailer said on Monday it expected that growth slowed sharply at its established yoga-wear shops for the quarter that includes the crucial holiday shopping season.

** MULTI-FINELINE ELECTRONIX INC, $18.50 (after market), down 13 pct

The electronic components maker estimated first-quarter gross margin of 8.5 percent, below its previous forecast of about 10 percent to 12 percent. Multi-Fineline said it scaled back production toward the end of the first quarter to manage its working capital and the idled labor costs, and manufacturing capacity hurt its margin.

** EXPRESS INC, $15.96 (after market), up 13 pct

The apparel retailer raised its fourth-quarter and full-year 2012 profit forecasts, saying it witnessed strong sales during the holiday season as well as growth in its E-commerce business.

** GLOBECOMM SYSTEMS INC, $12.50 (after market), up 7.7 pct

The communications solutions provider said it would review potential strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value.

** GORDMANS STORES INC, $12.75 (after market), down 9 pct

The company cut its earnings guidance for the fourth-quarter to 35 cents per share to 37 cents per share after its fourth quarter comparable sales through Jan. 12 fell 4.6 percent.

** GOLUB CAPITAL BDC INC, $15.75 (after market), down 2.5 pct
