Aug 14 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Wednesday:

WALL ST DOWN ON FED UNCERTAINTY, WEAK SALES BY MACY'S

U.S. stocks fell as investors speculated on when the Federal Reserve might curb its stimulus measures and after department store Macy's stock fell from a "tough" sales environment.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.56 percent while the Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 0.32 percent. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 0.12 percent.

** UNITED CONTINENTAL, $30.25, down 1.6 pct
