Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.26 percent at 16,224, S&P 500 futures were up 0.32 percent at 1,846.4 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.40 percent at 3,568.5.

The handset maker reported a smaller-than-expected fourth-quarter loss on Friday, although smartphone sales continued to slide across all regions. Excluding restructuring charges and other one-time items, the Waterloo, Ontario-based company reported a loss of $42 million, or 8 cents a share in the period. Analysts, on average, had been expecting a loss of 55 cents a share, on revenues of $1.11 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
