U.S. stock indexes fell on Friday. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.68 percent at 16,451.47 and the S&P 500 was down 0.64 percent at 1,918.3.
** TESLA MOTORS INC, $229.495, +2.77 pct
The California-based maker of luxury electric cars said it expected to build more than 60,000 cars in 2015, after spending heavily this year to update and expand its Fremont assembly plant. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also said the company would fund 40-50 percent of the estimated $4 billion to $5 billion cost of building a new "gigafactory" to produce cheaper and more efficient battery packs for its future electric cars, including the $35,000 Model 3 range that is due in 2017.
** ELDORADO GOLD CORP, $7.81, +5.26 pct
The Canadian gold miner lowered its 2014 average cash costs for production forecast to $495 per ounce from $550-$590 per ounce. The company reported second-quarter profit in line with the average analyst estimate.
