U.S. stocks advanced slightly on Tuesday, with the Dow and S&P 500 at intraday records, as investors attempted to interpret testimony by Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. The Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.37 percent at 18,184.6, the S&P 500 was up 0.12 percent at 2,112.14 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.17 percent at 4,952.59.
** AMERICAN AIRLINES GROUP INC, $50, -2.55 pct
Cowen & Co downgraded the stock of the largest U.S. carrier by passengers to "market perform" from "outperform" and cut its price target on the stock by $11 to $55. Analysts at the brokerage said the company would continue to see pricing pressure in 2015 in Dallas and Latin America.
** DAKTRONICS INC, $10.6199, -17.99 pct
The electronic display system maker reported lower-than-expected third-quarter revenue and profit, hurt by higher costs in its manufacturing and services business.
