U.S. stocks index futures pointed towards a flat open on Wednesday, after the Dow and S&P 500 climbed to their latest records, before a second day of testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and data on the housing market. Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 0.04 percent at 18,178, S&P 500 futures were down 0.12 percent at 2,111.25 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 0.17 percent at 4,442.5.
** SUNSHINE HEART INC, Tuesday close $5.41, +30.31 pct premarket
The medical device maker said the U.S. FDA agreed to an interim analysis of a study testing a device to treat heart failure. The company said the FDA nod came earlier-than-expected and could reduce development timeline of the device.
** BENEFITFOCUS INC, Tuesday close $22.97, +39.75 pct premarket
The cloud-based software provider said Mercer, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Cos, will make a strategic equity investment in the company. Mercer will invest $74.7 million for a 9.9 percent stake in Benefitfocus at $26.50 per share.
