The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.10 percent at 17,948.55, the S&P 500 was up 0.14 percent at 2,101.82 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.32 percent at 4,858.094.
** MICRON TECHNOLOGY INC, $12.41, -9.81 pct
The memory-chip maker said it would lower costs, including by cutting jobs and focusing on fewer programs, after its hopes of reversing its fortunes this year were thwarted by a persistently challenging market.
** HARLEY-DAVIDSON INC, $50.69, +11.90 pct
Shares of the company soared on unsubstantiated deal chatter. The motorcycle maker did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
** NETFLIX INC, $96.06, +5.01 pct
Canaccord Genuity started the video streaming company's stock rating with "buy" and $120 PT and said there is a long runway for international subscription growth in the fourth quarter and beyond. Continued...
