Arrest made in deadly Canadian road rage attack

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - A suspect has been arrested following a deadly road rage attack near Vancouver in which the victim was run down after he and two friends escaped from a crash, Canadian police said on Friday.

The 38-year-old suspect was taken into custody briefly and his vehicle seized in connection with Thursday's incident, but charges, including a possible murder count, were still being prepared, police said.

The 21-year-old victim was killed after he and two friends were forced off a rural road in Langley, British Columbia, by a driver who fled but then returned to the scene and drove into them as they examined their damaged vehicle.

The victim and friends were headed to the airport to start a Hawaiian vacation, and it was not known what provoked the other driver to attack.
