LIMA (Reuters) - Canada boasts some of the world's most solid economic fundamentals, but the crisis originating in its biggest trade partner the United States has had a big impact and requires quick action, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Saturday.

"Given that our closest neighbor and largest trading partner is the epicenter of the financial earthquake and global slowdown, the effects are real and the impetus for immediate action has been particularly great," he told Asian and American business leaders from economies around the Pacific Rim, gathered in the Peruvian capital.
