OTTAWA (Reuters) - Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Monday expressed confidence his minority Conservative government would not be defeated over a budget it will unveil on Tuesday.

"I feel pretty good about things. It's a good budget," he told CTV television in an interview, saying Canadians did not want an election so soon after a federal vote last October.
