OTTAWA (Reuters) - The weakening U.S. housing market means the U.S. economy has not yet hit bottom, Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said on Thursday.

"The United States economy certainly hasn't hit bottom yet. Their housing recession continues unabated, downward. So we're in difficult times. I'm optimistic about 2010," he told CTV television.
