Canada to watch U.S. "buy-American" provisions

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada will closely watch Washington's implementation of "buy-American" provisions in its economic stimulus packages, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Tuesday, but he expects the United States will live up to its trade obligations.

Harper also told reporters in Toronto that President Barack Obama's comments on trade have been "very encouraging."
