Quebec sees 1st confirmed case of H1N1 flu: official

TORONTO (Reuters) - The Canadian province of Quebec has recorded its first confirmed case of the new H1N1 flu strain, a federal official said on Thursday.

The official with the Public Health Agency of Canada spoke on condition on anonymity because he was not authorized to represent the government department.

A Nova Scotia official said earlier on Thursday that province had recorded the first case of the new H1N1 flu strain spreading from one person to another within Canada.
