TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Friday that taxpayper support for General Motors’ Canadian operations hinges on all stakeholders making sacrifices in restructuring talks.

“The participation of the taxpayers of Canada is dependent upon all of the stakeholders making the difficult decisions necessary to ensure the viability of the company,” he told a news conference in Toronto.
