Canada expects robust economic recovery in 2010

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada could have one of the strongest economic comebacks of all major industrialized economies in 2010, a spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Monday.

"The IMF expects Canada could experience one of the smallest contractions of all G7 countries in 2009 and could have one of the strongest recoveries in 2010," said spokesman Dimitri Soudas told reporters in a technical briefing for the upcoming G20 summit in Pittsburgh.
