One up, one down at OPG Ontario Nanticoke coal plant

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Ontario Power Generation’s 490-megawatt Unit 4 at the Nanticoke coal-fired power station in Ontario returned to service by early Thursday, while Unit 7 shut for short planned work, a spokesman for the company said.

He could not say exactly when Unit 7 would return. Electricity traders guessed Unit 7 would return within a week.

Unit 4 meanwhile shut by Wednesday.

Nanticoke is located on the north shore of Lake Erie in Nanticoke about 80 miles southwest of Toronto.
