VANCOUVER (Reuters) - Canada's economic recovery is gathering momentum despite threats from abroad, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said on Friday.

Flaherty also said in a speech that Canada and other nations need to develop strategies to exit from their stimulus plans and he repeated Canada's stance that European nations must rein in their deficits.
