NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Magnolia Pictures has picked up U.S. rights to the Slamdance Film Festival comedy “Hank and Mike” featuring Chris Klein and Joe Mantegna.

Screenwriters Thomas Michael and Paolo Mancini star as the title characters, a pair of foul-mouthed Easter Bunnies who are laid off by a conglomerate run by Mr. Pan (Mantegna) on the recommendation of an efficiency expert (Klein). The pink pair head into a downward spiral of drinking, depression and demeaning part-time jobs.

Matthiew Klinck directed the feature based on his 2000 short film.
