LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - James Gandolfini, star of the acclaimed Mafia television drama "The Sopranos," is engaged to his girlfriend Deborah Lin, the actor's manager said on Thursday.

Gandolfini, 46, and Lin, a former fashion model, "recently got engaged during the holidays," manager Mark Armstrong said in a statement.

They have been dating for about two years. According to celebrity Web sites, Gandolfini proposed during a winter break in the Caribbean islands.

The actor, who won multiple awards for portraying Mafia boss Tony Soprano in the HBO series that ended last year, divorced his first wife Marcy in 2002 after four years of marriage.

No details were available on when the couple would get married.
