Canadian actress joins "90210" spinoff

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Canadian actress Shenae Grimes has landed the female lead role on the "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff.
Lori Loughlin also has joined the CW Network show, which centers on the Mills, a three-generational Beverly Hills family.
Toronto-born Grimes ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") will play the family's teenage daughter Annie Mills, who attends the fictional West Beverly Hills High School.
Loughlin will play the mom, Celia Mills, a former Olympic Games medalist in cycling. Her recent series credits include "Summerland" and "In Case of Emergency."
