LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Teri Polo is set to star in the 3-D supernatural feature "The Hole."

The "Meet the Parents" star will play a mother who moves with her teen sons to a rural house where the three are forced to face their fears after discovering a bottomless hole in the basement.

Production starts December 5 in Vancouver. Joe Dante ("Small Soldiers") will direct the indie project.

Additionally, Polo has been tapped for two episodes of CBS' supernatural drama "Ghost Whisperer." She will play the fiancee of somebody close to Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

Polo also is gearing up to reprise her role as Ben Stiller's wife in "Meet the Little Fockers," the third installment in the "Meet the Parents" comedy franchise.
