LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Aaron Eckhart is in talks to play Nicole Kidman's husband in "Rabbit Hole," a drama about a happily married couple's unexpected tragedy.
Eckhart's character tries to hold on to the memory of his dead son while dealing with the emotional coldness of his wife. David Lindsay-Abaire adapted from his own stage play.
John Cameron Mitchell, the star, writer and director of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," will direct the independently financed project.
Eckhart played Harvey Dent/"Two-Face" in "The Dark Knight." He returns to theaters in September with "Brand New Day," starring Jennifer Aniston.
