"Trueheart" pumping as movie project

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The “Tom Trueheart” children’s book trilogy is being adapted as a series of feature films.

The adventure fantasy books, by British author Ian Beck, follow a young boy and his older brothers in the Land of Stories.

“The Secret History of Tom Trueheart” was published in 2007, and a second book, “Tom Trueheart and the Land of Dark Stories,” was published last year. Beck is working on a third adventure, “Tom Trueheart and the Land of Myths and Legends.”

Framelight Prods. and producer David Uslan acquired rights to the three books last week. A screenwriter will be hired shortly for the first live-action movie in the series, and Beck will serve as an executive producer.
