PARIS (Hollywood Reporter) - Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg will bring Don DeLillo's novel "Cosmopolis" to the big screen.

"Cosmopolis," DeLillo's 13th novel, is the story of a 28-year-old billionaire who crosses Manhattan for a haircut. It was published in 2003.

The film, which has yet to be cast, is scheduled to start shooting in 2010 in New York and Toronto.

Paulo Branco's Paris-based production house Alfama Films will co-produce with Cronenberg's Toronto Antenna Ltd.
