Jon Bon Jovi pulls muscle on stage, show goes on
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Jon Bon Jovi will continue to perform in his band's world concert tour despite a calf injury sustained near the end of a U.S. concert, his spokesperson said on Monday.
The 48-year-old tore a calf muscle at the end of a show held in the band's home state of New Jersey on Friday but went on to finish the show with their early hit "Livin' On A Prayer."
"The injury will not prevent Bon Jovi from playing any of their upcoming stadium dates this summer," his spokesperson said in a statement.
A YouTube clip shows the singer smiling and limping off stage helped by band mates at the end of the concert that lasted more than two hours. The next concert is planned for Monday in Ohio before moving onto Calgary, Canada on Wednesday.
The Grammy-award winning band are currently touring on a two-year world concert series that began in February after the release last November of their 11th studio album "The Circle."
The band has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide in its two decade career and was one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008.
