LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Comic actress Amy Poehler returns later this month to the set of "Saturday Night Live," this time as guest host for the launch of the show's 36th season on NBC.
NBC's "Parks and Recreation" star and former "SNL" regular takes over hosting duties September 25 with Katy Perry tagging along as musical guest.
Joining Poehler -- a three-time Emmy nominee -- as "SNL" hosts this fall are Bryan Cranston of the AMC series "Breaking Bad" and Jane Lynch from Fox television's musical hit "Glee." Both stars will appear on the late-night NBC sketch comedy show in October.
Four new comics also are joining the "Saturday Night Live" ensemble as regular players this season -- Vanessa Bayer, Paul Brittain, Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah.
