Canada disappointed with softwood lumber ruling
OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada is disappointed that an international trade tribunal ruled in favor of the United States in a dispute over softwood lumber but will comply with the decision, Trade Minister Stockwell Day said on Monday.
The tribunal said Canada failed to cure a 2007 breach of a bilateral lumber agreement through a proposed $36.66 million government-to-government payment.
