Film and Broadway actress Julie Andrews celebrates her 80th birthday on Thursday.
Andrews won a best actress Academy Award for her role as nanny Mary Poppins in the 1964 film, in which she starred alongside Dick Van Dyke.
She also won a best actress Golden Globe for playing aspiring nun Maria in musical film classic "The Sound of Music".
Andrews was made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth in 2000.
