LONDON (Reuters Life!) - Glamour model Katie Price and her singer husband Peter Andre have separated after 4-1/2 years of marriage, their publicist said on Monday.
No explanation was given for the split between the couple who met while filming the British jungle reality TV show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!"
"They have both requested that the media respect their families' privacy at this difficult time," the publicist added.
The couple appeared together in their own television chat shows and a number of TV documentaries depicting their life together.
They also recorded an album of duets, "A Whole New World," which reached number 20 in 2006.
Price, 30, who found early modeling fame under the name Jordan, has also published three popular autobiographies and four novels.
Andre, 36, born in England but brought up in Australia, had two number one hits in the mid 1990s with "Flava" and "I Feel You."
Following the publicity of his relationship with Price he returned to the top of the charts in 2004 with a reissue of an earlier hit, "Mysterious Girl."
They have two children together, Junior Savva, 3, and Princess Tiaamii, 1.
Price also has a 6-year-old son from a previous relationship.
