BERLIN (Reuters Life!) - An intoxicated 17-year old German, who got lost walking home from a party, fell asleep on the hard shoulder of a busy motorway where cars were traveling at over 160 kph (100 mph), police in Bavaria said on Monday.
The teenager, who had a blood-alcohol content three times above the legal limit for motorists, was found slumbering peacefully on the edge of the dual-carriageway after motorists called to report a man staggering on the side of the road.
The teen, who faces a stiff fine, told police he got lost on his way home and just got tired. They brought him home.
"His mum was not impressed to see him come home in a police car," police spokesman Peter Grimm told Reuters.
